CaribWorldNews, NASSAU, Bahamas, Fri. July 10, 2009: A 22-year-old Bahamian man could be charged with the murder of an American woman whose decomposed body was found last weekend, Bahamian police said.
TZindell McKinney was arrested and charged yesterday with killing Anna Michelle Garrison, 33, who split time between the Bahamas and West Palm Beach, said Assistant Commissioner Raymond Gibson of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
Her decomposed was found just three miles from the former residence of the late reality TV star, Anna Nicole Smith. Bahamas Press reports indicate that Anna Michelle Garrison`s body was found discarded in a plastic bag just off Fox Hill Road late Saturday. She went missing in February.
The former West Palm Beach resident was living with a Bahamian family at the time of her disappearance.
Bahamian police told reporters this week that they will also call on the Federal Bureau of Investigations to assist in searching for another, who they believe has fled the country, and is possibly back in the United States.
Garrison was identified by a tattoo on her back.
This is the second murder of a visitor in The Bahamas in less than two months. In April, Welsh banker Hywel Jones, 55, died after spending several weeks in a coma following a shooting. The president of Britannia Investment Group was shot in the head outside his office in the western area. Police believe the killing was a `hit.`
The bachelor/banker was ambushed by a gunman moments after he got out of his vehicle. The killer fled the scene on a red and white motorcycle after the execution-style shooting. Police have yet to arrest anyone in connection to this incident.
