June 11, 2019: As we enter Day 11 of Caribbean American Heritage Month, did you know  that the level of Caribbean immigration picked up after the United States entered World War II in 1941? Almost 50,000 Caribbeans (black and white) settled in the country between 1941 and 1950. They took advantage of the rapidly expanding war economy and postwar economic growth.
