Angelina Jolie and Foreign Secretary William Hague have arrived to co-chair the largest ever summit on the subject of sexual violence in war. The Hollywood star was greeted at the ExCeL conference centre in London’s Docklands by a bank of photographers, reporters and broadcasters. The 39-year-old, wearing a white dress and jacket and with her hair swept up, said she was “so, so happy to be here”. Mr Hague has spoken of the “enormous transformative” influence of Jolie in the campaign to end the “mass crime” of sexual violence in conflict zones.
