News Americas Now, TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands, Fri. Oct. 30, 2026: The British Virgin Islands is getting a prime-time tourism boost as Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City takes viewers to Moskito Island for a two-part Caribbean getaway in Season 16.

The BVI storyline began in Episode 5, “Trouble in Paradise,” which premiered Oct. 6, and continues in Episode 6, “Moskito Madness,” showcasing the territory’s turquoise waters, secluded beaches and luxury private-island experience. The trip is hosted by cast member Erika Hammond, whose family has an estate on Moskito Island, and features Carole Radziwill, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Hailey Glassman and Daisy Toye.

The episodes place one of the British Virgin Islands’ most exclusive destinations in front of an international television audience, with the cast staying on Moskito Island and exploring the high-end Caribbean setting that has long attracted affluent travelers. Filming began after the cast and crew of SMBWW Production arrived in the territory on April 3, 2026. The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission said it welcomed the production team in Tortola and supported filming during its stay.

Director of Tourism Clive McCoy said the television exposure offers the destination an opportunity to reach travelers seeking luxury Caribbean experiences. “When viewers watch the ladies arrive on Moskito Island, they are seeing the kind of exclusive, unforgettable experience the British Virgin Islands offers every day,” McCoy said. “This exposure puts our destination in front of a highly engaged audience who are looking for their next luxury escape.”

The feature adds to a growing list of international television appearances for the territory. The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission recently supported filming for Discovery Channel’s Let’s Take It Outside with Misty Wells, and tourism officials say the Bravo appearance further strengthens the BVI’s profile as both a visitor destination and an international filming location.

Natalie Hodge, Film Commissioner for the British Virgin Islands, said the global reach of the Real Housewives franchise provides valuable visibility for the territory. “Having the British Virgin Islands featured on a franchise as widely watched as The Real Housewives is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our islands to millions of viewers,” Hodge said.

She added that the production also demonstrates the territory’s ability to accommodate major film and television projects. The BVI has long positioned itself as a high-end Caribbean destination, known for private islands, sailing, luxury villas and secluded beaches. Moskito Island, located near Virgin Gorda, is among the territory’s best-known private-island retreats.

The television exposure comes as Caribbean destinations increasingly look beyond traditional advertising and use film, television and entertainment partnerships to reach international travelers. For the British Virgin Islands, the Bravo episodes provide both destination marketing and a showcase for the territory’s film-production capabilities.

Encore broadcasts of the two episodes aired on Bravo on Oct. 27, while both episodes are also available to stream on Peacock. For more information, visit bravotv.com
